X-board® <PXA> Starterkit

The X-board® <PXA> module has what it takes. Reduced to the maX - Based on the Intel® PXA255 Application Processor it is the most compact embedded solution possible.

The X-board® <PXA> Starterkit is designed to give you a head start. In the Starterkit you will find; a X-board® <PXA> module with a fully licensed WinCE version as well as a demo application preinstalled on the onboard flash, X-board® <PXA> evaluation baseboard, 1/4 VGA display with all the necessary components (display adapter, backlight inverter) to provide an easy connection to the X-board® <PXA> evaluation baseboard, switchable (115V-/230V) power supply, and a CD-ROM.

On the accompanying CD-ROM you will find all the necessary Starterkit documentation; WinCE BSP, an image of the preinstalled WinCE as well as the source code for the preinstalled demo application, and finally a Linux BSP with kernel sources and drivers. The provided Linux image is based on BusyBox system utilities (including the source code). With this complete package you´ll find all the necessary components to immediately start the evaluation process. This will lead to quicker application development, which will shorten your overall time to market. At the heart of the X-board® <PXA> Starterkit is the X-board® <PXA>, which is designed for low power consumption from the beginning.

The X-board® <PXA> module does not require a cooling device. Despite the compact size of a business card it offers all the modern interfaces applications of tomorrow need, such as integrated Graphics (LCD), Ethernet, USB and AC97 output to be used for audio implementation. With up to 64 MByte of DRAM and up to 32 MByte Flash storage media on board, the X-board® <PXA> is ready for all applications with support for WinCE and Linux operating systems.
